Brass in Concert has a Data Protection Policy that is available on request and this Privacy Statement published on our website.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect in managing our relationship with you.
We hold Band Secretary Address and other information in order to contact you from time to time.
Band Player details are requested from Bands and or appropriate registries-entry to the event by implication permits BiC to request and hold this information. These details are
• Used for identification and verification purposes in connection with contest rules
• Required for Safeguarding Purposes relating to Young People and Vulnerable adults
• Held by BiC in a processor role only not as controller
• Not used for any marketing purposes
• Kept securely and not shared with any other 3rd Parties
• Securely destroyed one month after each event

Our Patrons receive periodic Newsletters and updates about the Festival under terms of membership

We will not share your data with third parties
• Please be assured that you will not receive offers from other companies or organisations as a result of giving your details to us. We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties
Who do we share your personal information with?
• We may need to share limited information with our service providers who help us prepare for your performance such as Sage Gateshead, Local Authority under BOPA scheme, World of Sound, or percussion suppliers
What are our responsibilities and your rights?
• We take exceptional care with all information held. Where we contact you by e mail, SMS or other electronic means we do this with your consent

You may request details of personal information, which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act.

How long do we keep your Information?
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes for which it was collected. This varies depending on the type of information and its category. BiC Festival is an annual event. Regarding individual player and workshop attendee names; these are normally deleted or information securely destroyed 4-6 weeks after the event annually.
